Auckland Southern Motorway

The company to do all your rebar splicing installations.

Rebar splicing is a method of joining two pieces of rebar.  It is a full tension compression, cold swaged mechanical system for connection of rebars.

The strength of the connection is superior to the "lapping method" and requires less bar exposure to perform the connection.

SWNZ has two BarSplice machines.

All rebar splicing work is carried out to the New Zealand Code requiring for "A" Grade splices to go to 1.6 of yield or bar break.

Code requirements of ACI318-02, ACI349-01 and ASME section III, division 2, based on the use of ASTMA615, Grade 60 rebar.
